JIM COMES TO PREMIER ATHLETICS WITH A RICH BASEBALL BACKGROUND. GRADUATED BROOKLYN HIGH SCHOOL IN 1997, JIM LEAD THE STATE WITH A .625 BATTING AVERAGE AND WAS FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE IN THE MAC-8.

  • West Virginia University 1997 – 1998.
  • Pensacola Junior College 1998 – 1999.
  • Thirty Second round draft pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
  • University of Tampa 1999 – 2000, broke Tino Martinez’s RBI record of 82 with 90 RBI’s, along with 23 HR’s and a .365 batting average.
  • Fifth round pick of the Florida Marlins in the 2000 Amateur Draft.
  • Midwest League All-Star in 2001, 23 HR’s and 90 RBI’s.
  • Former teammate of Miguel Cabrera and Adrian Gonzalez.
  • Played six seasons in the Minor Leagues.
