⚡ Playing Career
Dave Pastors was a Pennsylvania High School All-State Catcher in 1980, earning a contract offer from the San Francisco Giants. He turned down the pros to pursue his education, becoming a 4-year NCAA Division I catcher at Oklahoma State University and Coastal Carolina University (1981-85).
⚾ Coaching Career
Coach Pastors brings an incredible 17 years of NCAA Division I coaching experience. He served as a 12-year D-I assistant coach at Coastal Carolina and Liberty University before becoming Head Coach at Liberty University for 5 seasons (1997-2002). His teams captured 4 Big South Conference Championships (1986, 1993, 1998, 2000) and compiled a dominant 162-123 Big South Conference record. He was named Louisville Slugger Big South Conference Coach of the Year twice (1998, 2000).
💪 Additional Achievements
Coach Pastors led 3 Top-50 nationally ranked recruiting classes at Liberty and was selected as an instructor for the College World Series Coaches Clinic. He also brings 8 years of travel baseball head coaching experience with ages 12-18 in Northeast Ohio (2003-2011).
