Made is Major League debut in 2000 as the starting Third Baseman for the Baltimore Orioles
Ivanon was traded to Chicago Cubs in 2001.
After the 2003 season, Ivanon was a free agent and signed with the St. Louis Cardinals and played in the 2003 Baseball World Cup.
In 2004 Ivanon signed as a free agent with the Astros and played on the Dutch National Team in the Olympic Games.
Played in the Netherlands European League’s 2005 World Cup and the European
Championship with the Dutch National Team, winning the MVP Award.
