We are excited to welcome Megan Foley to our Premier family of instructors. She will be working with our fastpitch program DiamondChix and any other girls looking for lessons with hitting, pitching and fielding.
Megan Foley, a 2008 graduate from Brunswick high school, was a four-year letter winner, having played catcher, third base and DH. During her senior year she was named Second-Team All-Ohio and First-Team All-Medina County. Throughout her time as a Blue Devil, the softball team were three-time district finalists, ending her senior year as regional finalists. She earned an athletic scholarship at Lake Erie College, where she was selected as ICAA’s Freshman of the Year, batted a career average of 0.382, and played catcher, third and DH. In addition to athletics, she also received an academic scholarship which aided in her receiving a Bachelor of Science from Lake Erie. She continued her education at Kent State University, receiving her Master of Public Health, Environmental Health Science which is utilized in her current role as a Quality Manager. For the past five years she has been an umpire for Brunswick Youth Sports (BYS) and surrounding cities. Her goal during the upcoming off-season is to utilize her prior experience as a player and observations as an umpire to help promote player performance and confidence on the field.
